Hey Everyone!
Welcome to another volume of the RC. Thank you for all of the amazing support on Dream Never Dies so far. It feels so great to have new music out in the world, and we can't wait to get out and see you. This month we’re releasing an alternate live version of Dream Never Dies and welcome Michael Hili, our creative director, and director of the official Dream Never Dies video for an interview. We’ve also made a VERY limited run of Dream Never Dies tapes; on side 1 is the original and on side 2 is the new alt version. Get them quick HERE, before we open the link to everyone. Happy Holidays and we’ll see you in 2022!

- Lo Moon
We wanted to record an acoustic live version of Dream Never Dies that further explores the nostalgia of the song. We got together in my garage, put up a few microphones and worked to capture a slightly different spirit than the original. This is Dream Never Dies in its most vulnerable form.

Interview with Michael Hili
Michael Hili is hands down one of the most inspiring creatives we know. Michael has made music videos for The Killers, The Lemon Twigs, John Carrol Kirby and more and is constantly pushing himself to discover something new and offer up a unique approach to any project he gets involved in. We are so lucky to have him on board as our creative director on this campaign, and he has become a very integral part of the Lo Moon family over the last couple years. He’s spent the time getting to know our world and help us not only translate that into the creative, but discover more about ourselves as artists. You can get a glimpse of that in the official video for Dream Never Dies but maybe we’ll learn something new about him here.

I vividly remember going to Jones Beach Amphitheater on Long Island to see LIVE and Oasis in 1996. I was obsessed with all of the big hits off of What’s The Story and I begged my dad to take me to the show when they came through. I was eleven at the time and witnessing that show blew my mind. That entire album but especially Champagne Supernova is filled with wonder and gave me a feeling that anything this is possible. That show, that night, hearing those songs live made me realize the power of music.

Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground by The White Stripes
I used to love listening to this album when I was biking home from school. Dead Leaves in particular led me to the realization that as simple as Meg was playing, she was still a mountain of sound and had more feeling than most drummers I had ever heard.

I grew up in London in the 90s and Britpop was in full swing when I was just starting to pay attention to the music that I was hearing on the radio. As a kid on the cusp of becoming a tween, I was absorbing all this melodic, guitar driven music and it was truly a blissful time. Much of this music has had diminishing returns for me, but this band, this record and in particular, this song can still move me and take me straight back to the feeling of being a kid, full of dreams, at the dawn of a new century.

Let’s Stay Together by Al Green
Al Green’s albums were the soundtrack of my childhood, and eventually the soundtrack for most of my life. Most of the albums that have stuck with me were the ones that my mother played in the car - Todd Rundgren, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Bob Marley and my favorite, the reverend Al Green. I remember how exuberant Let’s Stay Together sounded, it made everyone around us lost in the moment, we couldn’t help but belt out the chorus together. I remember thinking that’s how I wanted to make music, where everything stops for a moment and we’re all connected in the song.
