Welcome! Bonny Cover & Warren Fu Interview
Vol. 1 : Lo Moon covers Bonny & interviews Warren Fu
Hey everyone!
We understand that you are the most important piece of the Lo Moon puzzle, so we created a way to bring you into our world on a regular basis. The Raincoat Chronicles is a regular newsletter made by us that will share special Lo Moon content, exclusive interviews with our favorite creatives, and of course the latest on our new music and more. We’re excited to see where this takes us.
Stay safe, much love.

This Month’s Cover: BONNY (Prefab Sprout Cover)
We wanted nothing more than to have our sophomore album out already, BUT as you can imagine the pandemic and some other forces messed with our timeline. LM2 is getting very close and we promise you won't have to wait too much longer.
In the meantime, we’ve decided to start recording and sharing some covers of songs we love. Given how much we miss playing for you all, we thought it was appropriate for the first one to be a song we covered while out on tour last. 'Bonny' is an amazing song by one of our favorite bands - Prefab Sprout - off of their album 'Steve McQueen' aka 'Two Wheels Good’ (interesting story about that here). It brought back a lot of memories for us re-imagining this one from home and hope it makes you remember those times we shared on tour together.
We can't wait to see you again soon! Feel free to download the mp3 here and we hope you enjoy the video below.
Interview with Director Warren Fu
As part of the Raincoat Chronicles we're going to be doing regular short interviews with people in our world who we find inspiring. We wanted to do something a little different to keep things interesting for everyone, so we've decided each question can be answered with anything BUT text.
For our very first interview here at the RC we are so excited to welcome our great friend, the incomparable music video director, illustrator & designer Warren Fu. Warren has directed videos for some of the biggest names in music, including Daft Punk, Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, The Strokes, Depeche Mode and Phoenix to name a few…. We were lucky enough to have Warren in the chair for ‘Loveless’, our very first music video, and consider it to be one of our most memorable moments as a band. Warren is not only one of the most talented hardest working multi-dimensional artists out there but on top of it all is a wonderful human. We hope you learn a little more about about him here.
Enjoy!
What do you envision hope looks like?
Where would you like to get lost?
First thought when we sent you loveless?
What’s your alter ego look like?
Where is your heart?
When do you know your work is complete?
What do you fear the most?

I’m going through an obsession with Don Delillo. Maybe you’ve read his ‘White Noise’ but I can’t recommend ‘Underworld’ enough. ‘Underworld’ unpacks themes of nuclear proliferation and reminds us of the power we can have on the course of history. If you are into Post Modern literature or authors like Franzen, Pynchon, David Foster Wallace, you will absolutely love Delillo.

For years I have been enjoying heartfelt musical conversation on The Trap Set with Joe Wong. While graciously leaving gear talk for the chat rooms, Joe‘s wonderful thirst for unique life experiences from the vantage of his guest’s invites ever-intriguing hours of talks from drumming greats to modern contemporary icons. Highly recommend.

Love how you seem to have DNA elements of Talk Talk, Peter Gabriel, no-man and The Blue Nile running in your veins... intentionally, or no. Finding your album has made my life a better place to be: thanks for that. Bring on LM2! (& please put For Me It's You on there?).
Please keep this band together- no matter what happens to the rest of the world. Beautiful chemistry.
